The DTS so far has been all that I anticipated and more.  This past week has flown by, but it seems like it has taken forever.  The first few days were the infamous "Exodus" and then we moved into orientation.  Friday we went to the beach on the other side of the island (Kam 3) and that was a great day.  The entire base came and we just chilled on the beach, had a BBQ lunch.  I tried to work on my tan, but I don't think it worked.

Today was the first Sunday where we went to various churches in the area.  I went to Waipuna for their early, 8:30 service and then taught Sunday School in the later service.  It was really fun and I felt encouraged and accepted by the others leading the Sunday School.  Although the worship style is different of that from home, the teaching in the service was quite useful.

This week starts the real lecture phase.  We have a guest speaker coming tomorrow for the rest of the week who will minister to us.  We will also begin our work duties and out outreach opportunities here on the island.  It's going to be an exciting week.
