the gift of a new heart & gifts from an angel
Sorry, my updates are coming later and later every week. Life is getting super busy and we rarely have a free moment to do what we need to.
Anywho, the lecture topic for last week was New/Pure Hearts. A team from the University of Nations in Kona led by Tom and Donna Cole led the week for us. They had eight sessions for us to go through, and each one was quite emotional and brought up a lot of hurts, pains, or wounds that we didn't even realize were there and that needed to be spoken aloud prayed for in order for healing to come. As it was a while ago, I don't necessarily remember all the sessions (and they told us not to ake notes to get the most ouf of it) so please don't count and see that there are not eight sessions.
We started by talking about wounds that can be caused by our parents, then we moved on to conrfession. Confession was the biggest time for me. This one brought the most healing in my life and I am still so excited about what went on in that session. They had a system of just naming the sin, binding it out of our hearts and to the cross, declaring forgiveness from Christ and the world, cleansing and blessing us. It was such a great time and I literally did a happy/vitory dance after this one. The other sessions were "true feminity," "true masculinity" and "forgiveness." "True feminity" and "true masculinity" were both great times. They guys were super supportive and they got involved in our time praying for us and asking for forgiveness from people in our lives that had hurt us. It was so cool to then just watch the guys time, the leader said that he does their session different each time they do it. It was great, at the end of their session, he knighted them and declared them men of God. We were all so extatic! We were cheering for the guys, and they were showering us with blessing, it was just so spirit filled. If you want to look into their inner healing sessions you can look at their notes and download MP3's of their sessions for yourself at: http://pureheartseminars.com/ I highly reccomend looking into it.
Along with the emotional week of all the healing that went on, we also had "Angels & Mortals Week." This is kind of like a Secret Santa, but a bit different. We all drew a name, it could be staff or student, and we were required to bless them each day from Monday to Friday in secret. It was super cool and fun to bless someone without them knowing that it was you. On Friday, we had to bless them prior to noon, because at lunch we revealed who we had as our mortals and we found out who our angel was. It was super cool, my angel was a friend of mine from before this (if you remember Matthew Belch), and it was super sweet.
All in all it was a fantastic week that I throroughly enjoyed. I would do it all over again! I shall try to do an update this weekend on the happenings of this week. Sorry once again for getting more and more tardy.
