This week has been super powerful.  Our speaker for the week is Donna Jordan, an elderly lady who really knows how to listen to God.  I have never heard God's voice so clearly before this week and I only hope that I can continue to hear His voice.  Today we had to write down the things that were in the way of us hearing God's voice.  We took those things to the cross (campfire) and left them there for good (burned them).  After we did so we were left to have communion, pray individually and with each other and also to wash each other's feet if we felt led to do so.  It was absolutely amazing.  The Holy Spirit was there and He made each of us new in Him and took everything away and cast it to the bottom of the "vat of toxic waste" (Beaux's interpretaion of the passage for present times, or ocean as in the scriptures).

Then tonight, after our studying session, we had a very special ceremony.  Brandon, one of the students here in the DTS had expressed a desire to be baptized.  Although it was the 'day of sabbath' for the pool, we did it in the pool in the dark.  The pool was lit by flashlights and the random bursts of camera flashes.  After Brandon, Joel (another student) did the same.  Both Brandon and Joel had been baptized at a young age but they didn't understand fully the depth and the symbolism in this act.  At the end, when Matt (our school leader) was about to get out of the water, our great friend Cody (yet another DTS student) asked if we could do one more.  He just jumped in, being a recent Christian, he wanted to proclaim to all of us that he was dedicating his life to the Lord.  It was a powerful night and the Holy Spirit is defiantly moving amongst us.
